Glamour UK May 2011 Beauty Story

Gibson girls, I worked with Glamour UK on a beauty story for their May 2011 issue that’s all about what’s new for lips–but obviously, the backdrop had to be big, sexy hair. My specialty! Here’s what I whipped up, and how you can get the look.

For these looks, I counted on extensions, because the gals had rather short, fine hair. The hair ended up being  so fabulous, the editors  decided to put more hair in this time than normal–usually makeup stories feature models with their hair pulled back. So extensions were my go-to for this, but I also used Build It Blow-Drying Spray for volume, Beautiful Hold Hairspray for long-lasting hold and my favorite “product”  of all, a WIND MACHINE.  A large-barrel curling iron to create the wave for one of the girls.

The first blonde gal in the photo is Kate Upton, a Victoria’s Secret/Sports Illustrated model who is a doll. We’ve been in touch on Twitter since the shoot, so fun! I love how the hairstyles look with the bright, bold makeup. What do you think?

Remember, Beauty Is Individual.
