Met Ball Beauty: Christina Ricci and Ashley Greene Hair How-tos

The Met Ball is MAJOR, and I’m lucky to have been working with two of the most beautiful girls (Gibson Girls!)  in the business for it: Christina Ricci and Ashley Greene. Here’s how I created their respective hairstyles for the evening.

For Christina, she needed the perfect style to showcase her amazing Thakoon gown, and I knew this chic, sleek chignon would be absolutely gorgeous on her. First, I started off with wet hair and sprayed build it blow drying agent on mids and ends. I then applied fix it gel all over and blew hair dry with a medium sized round brush in one inch sections. Next, I flat ironed her entire head. I parted her hair in a deep side part and pulled everything back into a tight ponytail. I then created a large chignon in the back, pinning her hair with medium bobby pins. I finished with beautiful hold hair spray.

And for Ashley, I did a  soft, sexy, undone hair and this look complimented her Donna Karen gown perfectly. I started with fix it gel and hair sheet styling over her entire head. I then blew dry her hair with my fingers to add texture as opposed to a smooth surface – I wanted to rough the cuticle up. Next, I used a medium sized curling iron, took two inch sections and wrapped the hair around the iron creating soft waves. Finally, I sprayed her with beautiful hold hairspray to hold everything in place and tousled with my fingers to give her that undone, sexy look!
What do you think, Gibson Girls?

Remember, even at the Met Ball, Beauty Is Individual.

  1. You could definitely see your enthusiasm within the work you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to mention how they believe.
